Introduction
We named our project “One Day” because migrant workers in Taiwan typically take one day off each month. Many of them will gather at Taipei Main Station, the busiest transportation hub of Taiwan, to meet their friends and hang out. On our field trip, our group went to Taipei Main Station to interview migrant workers, trying to observe and record what their one-day vacation was like. We met a TikTok creator who made Q&A videos with passers-by, a group of girls who came to Taipei Main Station to have fun from different cities in Taiwan, a domestic worker with a part time job at a clothing store.
